Navy SEAL Museum San Diego: Visitor Code of Conduct

Welcome to the Navy SEAL Museum San Diego. We are honored to share the history and heritage of the U.S. Navy SEALs with you. To ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable experience for all guests, staff, and our exhibits, we ask that you adhere to the following guidelines.

 

General Conduct

      • Respect for All: We are a place of honor and reflection. Please be kind and respectful to other visitors, museum staff, and volunteers. Abusive, threatening, or offensive language and behavior will not be tolerated.
      • Respect for the Exhibits: Our artifacts are irreplaceable and tell a vital story. Please do not touch, climb on, or otherwise damage the exhibits or their display cases. Please follow all posted “Do Not Touch” signs.
      • Supervision of Minors: All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
      • Safety First: Please use walking feet and be mindful of your surroundings. Running, roughhousing, or any other disruptive behavior is prohibited. Please follow the instructions of all museum staff.

Security and Prohibited Items

      • Bag and Backpack Search: For the safety of our visitors and the preservation of our collection, all backpacks, bags, and purses are subject to search upon entry. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in this matter.
      • No Weapons: The possession of firearms, knives, or any other weapons is strictly prohibited on museum property, regardless of license. We reserve the right to deny entry to anyone in possession of a weapon.
      • Prohibited Items: Please do not bring the following items into the museum:
            • Outside food and beverages (except for bottled water with a closed cap)
            • Tripods, monopods, and selfie sticks
            • Pets, with the exception of trained and ADA-compliant service animals
            • Aerosol cans, paint, or other flammable or hazardous materials
            • Drones, skateboards, rollerblades, or hoverboards

Photography and Filming

      • Still photography and video recording are permitted for personal, non-commercial use only.
      • Flash photography is strictly prohibited to protect our sensitive artifacts.
      • The use of tripods, monopods, and selfie sticks is not permitted for the safety of our guests and to prevent damage to exhibits.
      • The Museum reserves the right to use photographs or videos taken on our premises for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be included in such media, please inform a staff member upon arrival.

Additional Information

      • The Museum is a smoke-free and vape-free facility. This includes all indoor and outdoor areas on museum property.
      • We reserve the right to refuse service or remove any individual who violates this Code of Conduct. Failure to comply with these rules may result in removal from the premises without a refund.
      • We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.
